This is known as<strong> a \u2018cloud \/ vendor lock\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Lack of expertise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pluralsight\u2019s State of Cloud Report 2022 notes that \u2018<em>75% of leaders are building new products and features in the cloud, but only 8% of technologists have extensive experience working with cloud-related tools<\/em>\u2019 &#8211; this <strong>lack of expertise can lead to tools either being underutilised or used incorrectly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Compliance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Organisations must <strong>comply with the local legislation<\/strong> as set out by their local government bodies. users\u2019 data<\/strong> (such as multiple-level password authentication, firewalls and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.future-processing.com\/blog\/the-implementation-of-artificial-intelligence-into-cloud-security\/\">implementing AI intelligence<\/a>), unfortunately, it is impossible to protect against 100% of attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Why does cloud implementation fail?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Implementing cloud computing can be very difficult, and while many companies succeed in cloud adoption, some companies do struggle with their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.future-processing.com\/blog\/facing-the-challenges-of-a-growing-cloud-ecosystem\/\">cloud challenges<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are <strong>a number of reasons<\/strong> why businesses might not be successful in their cloud services implementation, as explained below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>The cost of migrating to the cloud<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Migrating to the cloud can be <strong>a very expensive operation if it is not optimally managed.<\/strong> There are a huge number of costs involved, from technology and vendor lock-in, failed migrations, sticker shock, controlling access and so on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, these costs can spiral out of control, which may result in the cloud migration failing or being significantly delayed.
