Usually, it was nothing dramatic \u2013 a handful of suspicious transactions, a few failed login attempts, or standard automated blocks.<\/p><p>But that day, the numbers were completely different.<strong> More than 8,000 alerts overnight.<\/strong> Sounds scary, doesn&#8217;t it?<\/p><p>His bank at the time still had a <strong>traditional rule-based fraud detection system<\/strong> which essentially collapsed under the pressure of a highly coordinated wave of attacks, because it simply <strong>couldn\u2019t adapt and couldn\u2019t tell real customers from fraudsters<\/strong>.<\/p><p>That morning became the turning point in Lucas\u2019s business-continuity strategy.
